Observatory Services
At Look Up Domes, we can support you through every stage of your observatory project — from initial concept and design, to dome manufacturing, installation, and after-service support. However, if you already have a plan in place or simply want to purchase a high-quality observatory dome, we’re happy to supply the dome only. Whether you need full project support or just the dome itself, we’re here to help make it easy.

Design
We can work with you, your architect or your team to design the best solution for your needs, offering our expertise and experience we will help you create your astronomy vision. We also have a network of architects, builders, landscapers and engineering specialists available to assist your journey if required.


Manufacturing
All Look Up Domes are manufactured right here in Auckland, New Zealand by our countries leading fibreglass manufacturer Fibre Reinforced Plastics (aka Fleetline). They are 2.4metres with a square roof-ring and all coated in a waterproof white gel-coat finish (or another colour available on request). Assembly of all marine fittings and hardware is carried out by hand with precision and accuracy. $18,900
Shipping
All Look Up Domes are carefully placed on a crate then shrink wrapped for protection, these are then ready for the partnered shipping company to collect and deliver.

Installation
The installation stage can vary considerably, pending on the design and size of your project. Starting from a simple placement and connection to some pre built framing, which is carried out by our installer. Through to an architecturally designed building project connecting to the existing roof or new build house, which is carried out by a professional master builder partner. There are also optional extras like landscaping, cleaning and finishing.
Support
Our Look Up team of technicians offer an all year round support service helping you keep the Look Up Dome to its optimum condition. Ranging from optional maintenance right through to annual servicing.
